All Good Things Must Come to An End

I have been happy at Summit Doral for the most part. I moved from a high-rise Apartment in Coral Gables to come here. It's quiet here. My apartment had a lake view. Although, you can hear anyone who lives above you walking or dropping things it's not too bad.
I had the Fairway floorplan that comes with an attached garage. I can collaborate other reviews that claim parking problems if you get home late for work. I see most spots filled when I come home, so you may have to walk a bit to your apartment. I found the office staff quite nice and any issues I had were handled quickly. But, not everything is perfect. I moved in July 2004 and was lucky they had a rent decrease then, so that is why I moved in, but now that my lease renewal is due, I won't be renewing. They are raising my rent $205 making my rent $1191 a month.
You pay $30 for trash that they add to your rent and the administrative fee when you apply is too high and I'd never pay that much again (you live and you learn). And, if memory serves the application fee is $75, I think.
It's a nice community, and I enjoyed my time here, but for me it's not worth $1191 -- I was paying $1265 in Coral Gables. And, frankly I moved here because the rent was under a $1000, and now I'll be moving when my lease ends.
