I can't speak for all Camden properties, but I strongly advise against renting from Camden Doral. New leases require that you pay for cable, whether you want it or not. Don't own a TV' Too bad...you pay for cable. Have or want Direct TV' Too bad...you pay for cable. Don't like to deal with the Einsteins at Comcast cable' Too bad...that's the sole provider and you WILL take it. If that's not bad enough, they also require that you must carry renter's property/liability insurance, which they conveniently will sell you. So, you get to pay $1700 for a two-bedroom apartment and pay to insure it too!

If that's all acceptable to you, take a tour of the garbage dumpster on a Saturday afternoon. The mandatory valet garbage service ($30/mo.) doesn't operate on Friday and Saturday. Garbage starts stacking up outside the dumpster on Friday morning and doesn't stop until Sunday. It's a lovely sight...and smell.

Rules are rarely enforced. Garbage is put out on the curbs on days and during hours that are supposedly prohibited, yet never is anything done to stop tenants from continuing this practice.

Pool rules are rarely enforced. Visitors out-number residents at the pool on any summer weekend.

Now for the really bad news. Rental apartments are scarce in Doral, so you have little choice but to consider Camden. Of course, the good folks at Camden know this, so that's why they can get away with sweetheart deals with cable providers and insurance companies.
