It's nice, but has its flaws.

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
This is the first community I have lived in, before I lived with my family. When we did the walk through to see a sample of the apartments, I loved the 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment and decided on it. The paperwork went fine, and we received the keys. The first day we actually walked in the apartment, to start cleaning and waiting for the cable installations, we discovered that the refrigerator had mold in it and smelled completely rotten. I complained to management and it was replaced the next day. My problem was that it should have been taken care of prior to us having the key. Then almost 2 months had past before I got a phone call telling me that the original deposit needed to be done in a money order rather than a check. I got completely upset and complained, because why did they wait so long to even look at it' Their excuse was that the check didnt have an apartment number reference on it. How can it have one, if when the original deposit was given before we even knew the apartment that was being picked. On different occasions, they have left messages to call them back and they have left notes stating of unpaid balances, when in fact the complete balances were paid, but ti was their error in inputing the information into their system. The apartment itself, was not in that great of conditions. The kitchen cabinets are pretty used up and cracking a bit. This is something management should replace once apartments start to age. They really dont do too much of a great clean up job after tenants leave and they issue the apartment to the new tenant. Sloppy work. The security of the apartment is okay. There is no on staff 24 security. There is this company that works with different communities who drives by on occassion during the day and the evening. I wouldnt say the community is safe. Its pretty open and anyone can get into the community. There is nothing there to stop anyone. Several of the tenants around me are extremely loud, and you can hear arguments, yelling, cursing, doors slamming alot, which can be annoying at some point. The parking is pretty much first come first serve. There is a downside to that, as well as a good thing for not having reserved parking. Several different tenants, take up double spaces, because they are avoiding getting hit by another car, because the spaces are not very big. This can become a bit inconvenient when too many people are taking up double spaces. Lee parking spaces available for tenants. Overall, the community needs to spend some cash building a gate for the community, to be safer. People like to feel secure and safe in their homes. I think the administration of the office needs to be handled a bit better and they need to get more firmer with the tenants, and make them aware of things when complaints are made. They honestly disregard it in the management office.
