I rented this apartment for my parents and I have never had to deal with such uncaring and unprofessional people. They enclosed our balconies with out asking if it was okay or waiting for us to move out or giving us any real option to move out. At least not until they flooded out our apartments do to very shady construction practices, which still go on. It was so bad the Red Cross had to come out. No exagerration, every News Station in Miami covered the story. I've driven by and the construction or destruction is still going on. It's been going for months. They've had gas leak scares from the propane tanks that power the laundry facilities, at least the ones that function. I'm sure the fire department reports are public record if you wish to bother checking it out. They entered our apartments almost daily and we were never informed 24hours in advance as the law requires. It's still going on. Chery Grove stated in a letter that they are not responsible for anything broken or missing while they are in a unit doing construction and repairs.
All maintenance requests are ignored in favor of construction priorities. Which is ridiculous considering the majority of the apartments are empty due to all the people that were left homeless or simply left out of frustration. They are very retalitory reference complaints. So for now I have to stay anonymous. I still have friends and family trying to find a new place live. Replacing your essential belongings due to flood damage is a very expensive thing to deal with. But rest assured I will make my name known once they make a quick exit this month.
Don't bother to complain they will just tell you, you can leave or they will make sure you do. They don't care how you feel, if anything really works properly or meeting there leasing obligations in occupied apartments.
The grounds are disgusting, rats are running the grounds at night. A coat of paint and some stucco is just going to cover up the mess. What if a another storm hits' Will these apartments hold up' They sure didn't handle some thunderstorms very well. Is the electrical up to par' Is it worth risking your family to fire or any other hazard' My recommendation' STAY AWAY FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX!!!
The litigation against these people is also a matter of public record. Good luck!
