Hi. I lived at Dalma Inc. Apartments for 9 months during my Senior year at the University of Miami. In fact, it is in a great location, only 5 minutes away from the University.

I rented a studio apartment for $475 a month. It was a little over 400 square feet - not the biggest place, but big enough for what I needed.

The aparment building was pretty well kept, and had a swimming pool which I never used. The laundry is on the 2nd floor, where I live, so it was convienient.

The area is right on Bird Road (SW 40th Street), meaning plenty of shopping, food places, traffic, and even a park nearby. Close to major expressways too.

For an older building, there weren't many roaches at all. The only pest that ever bothered me were ants, but some sealing of the ceiling got rid of those. The apartment had good soundproofing as well.

The only drawback to me was the crime. I had checked the area, and they hadn't had any incidents there within the last 18 months. Well, right before I moved out, my car, and 7 others, were vandalized in the parking lot behind the apartment. They broke a lock on my car, and took my $40 hub caps. Before that, though, nothing else had ever happened.

That was an unlucky incident. I wouldn't let it deter anyone from renting here.

Finally, the vast majority of the tenants are spanish (Cuban), so I didn't really know my neighbors at all. Other than that, this was a great place to live, for a very decent price, very near school.

Give it a look - the outside isn't that great, but the apartments will surprise you!

Problems with roaches, ants, and theft and this apt is still recommended??
