Reasons not to move into DPlace/Design Place:

1) We have been made sick by the condition of our apartment (mold and mildew).

2) Our requests for repairs throughout our lease have not been properly addressed.

3) We never received a walkthrough inspection.

4) We were given a bait-and-switch unit when we moved in. We were shown a cute unit, then we moved into a hellhole with black grout (black from dirt), soft/waterlogged baseboards, peeling walls, and a crappy bathtub. We made most repairs ourselves but cannot keep up with it.

5) We were told we were paying last month's rent and security deposits were waived on special. Now that we're moving out, we're told that's not the case.

6) We provided a substantial pet deposit.

7) We haven't received interest on any money they have from us.

8) We have made the bulk of repairs to our unit and have made substantial improvements.

9) We weren't informed of where our money is being held.

10) We haven't received a copy of our current lease, even though it's been requested three times.

11) We were actually discriminated against because of our high income; we were charged substantially higher rent than others in the complex and had our rent unfairly raised (12%) upon lease renewal.

12) Ants, spiders, caterpillers, geckoes... they don't seal anything that should be sealed.

Anyone who moves in has been warned.
