I lived in D place for a year.

First of all, my room mate rented the place before i saw it.

The only things that i had seen where the pictures..

which look very nice.

The so called 2 bedroom apartments dont have 2 bedrooms, they have a bedroom and a dinnign room which they want you to believe is a bedroom.

The walls are thin, and you can hear when people are walking into their apartments, so dont live under someone with children...

youll hear everything.

The people that are supposed to clean or fix things never...

EVER EVER came on time to fix anything! My bathroom apartment was actually flooded because the bathroom above us had a busted pipe, it took them A WEEK TO FIX IT! the walls were filled with water pockets, and mold.

They never addressed the issue.

Then after the first 3 months or so my room mate and i had a BIG problem.....

BIG roaches....

and noised INSIDE the walls...

rats.

We are clean ppl, NEVER left dishes on the sink after we eat, and picked up after ourselves...

but that didnt stop the critters from beign there.

One night i woke up with a roach crawling on my arm...

and i was the "clean" freak (microbiology major).

The parking space would flood to a little past your ankles when it rained hard, and when ppl smoked, or cooked fish..

the fact that the space between the floor and the bottom edge of the door is huge, all the smoke came in ( so imagine...

my neighbor, although nice she was nice, smoked and loved eating fish...

nice smell) The gym had 4 tread mills...

of which only 2 worked, half of the weights where missing.

and the Pool had a piece of babycrap floating in it once.

The whirlpool was greenish yellow once too.

And, the quality of the people that live there seems to be low.

For those of us that got intrigued by the nice and different retro look...

we know what we are talking about.

I do not recommend it at all.

Plus, its in little haiti...

you drive in and you feel like your in a different country and no longer in America.

Dont let the prices fool you...

Be wise in where you choose to live.
