I looked at this place and it seemed nice. I saw a lot of the people that lived here and it seemed acceptable. I only saw the models and will definitely look at the actual unit before i agree to anything. is there still a supposed vermin problem' since the AC is liek that of a hotel room; is it sufficient'
i am a bit wary of the reviews on this site so please give a credible answer. i viewed the review for a place i used to live and could not really did not experience any of the problems the majority of the people whined about.

You want a credible answer : RUN !!!
I HAD to end my lease after 9 months. I have 2 young children and it's not a place to raise them (drug deals happens all day long !), the management is the worst, the rats and cockroaches are everywhere.
I am being as honest as possible, trust me if you can avoid this place, do it.
And if you ask the management about those reviews (which I did) they will tell you they come from people that were evicted because of lack of payment etc... Don't listen to them.

OK, YOU WANT AN HONEST ANSWER I DON'T KNOW WERE TO START! THIS PLACE IS A DISASTER, A NIGHTMARE! THE MODELS LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE UNIT YOU WILL BE RESIDING IN! THE FIRST RED FLAG WAS THE LEASING AGENT STOLE THE MONEY ORDER! MY SISTER IS NOW BREAKING HER LEASE AFTER MOVING 2 TIMES! THE 1ST APT HAD A HIGH DANGEROUS AMOUNT OF MOLD IN THE BATHROOM THAT WAS VERY HAZARDOUS TO HER, MY NEWBORN NEPHEW AND HER HUSBAND. OH AND LET ME NOT FORGET TO SAY THAT THEY HAVE NOW MOVED SOMEONE ELSE INTO THAT APT. NOW, THE 2ND APT HAS A SEWER LEAK IN THE BATHROOM! THE MAINTENANCE HAVE COME SEVERAL TIMES, KNOCKED OUT THE CEILING, THE WALL OUT BUT IT STILL SMELLS LIKE CACA! IT IS VERY FOUL BUT NO ONE IN MANAGEMENT SEEMS TO CARE JUST AS LONG AS YOU PAY YOUR RENT AND THEY CAN STILL RENT TO PEOPLE. ALSO THERE ARE HUGE RAT TRAPS AT THE ENTRANCE OF EACH APT BUILDING. LET ME SEE WHAT ELSE.....AFTER SITTING IN THE LEASING OFFICE WAITING TO SPEAK TO SOME ONE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM THERE WAS ANOTHER GIRL IN THERE THAT HAD BEEN ROBBED OF EVERYTHING! PLEASE TELL ME HNOW SECURITY MANAGED TO NOT SEE ANYTHING? AFTER THE WRITE EVERY ONE'S TAG # DOWN. AS FOR THE ELECTRICITY; WE DO NOT USE THE AIR BECAUSE THE BILL WENT FROM $140 TO $200!!!! SO WE HAVE A CEILING FAN IN THE DINING AREA. THIS MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE BECAUSE THE BILL IS NOW ABOUT $40. I WOULD NOT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU ARE GLUTTEN FOR PUNISHMENT!!!!!!

Just an honest opinion from someone who has lived here a while...
I moved in in January of 2007. We were stupid and signed the lease before we saw our actual unit. That was our own stupidity. But we managed and they took care of everything we asked them to upon start up.
Things were fine for abut two months.
Then the sink backed up. Middle of a Saturday night. Literally blackwater gushing over the side of the sink and all we could do was seal the drain and clean it up as it poured out. Was told we had to wait until Monday morning.
Then the mold. Under windows, in the bathroom, in the AC unit. Still not fixed. Then the intermitent power outages because make no mistake, this community is in the middle of the ghetto and the little Haiti infrastructure has not been updated since the 80's.
The laundry facilities are horrible! They have JUST updated with a couple new washers, and finally sealed the gapping hole in the ceiling, but I went out to do laundry tonight and could not stomach the smell because one of D place's biggest flaws are that they have a select few sub-human pigs who take their personal trash and throw it in public areas. I mean like a weeks worth of trash in laundry buildings, in the parking lots, at the mailboxes... anywhere their lazy butt wants to throw it.
The trash areas are over run with cats, which are better than the rats that previously ruled the trash roost. Although I've never had a rodent issue IN my unit. I have had an issue with worms though. Little blackish red worms will just be chillin' on the floor or in the bathtub about once a week. No clue where they come from.
Power bill runs from $75-$90, depending on the weather. I can't imagine having a $200 bill like some residents claim! We run the AC in our two bedroom all night, and for about three hours in the evening. We try to turn off things we aren't using and close up the second bedroom when its on though.
So I've lived here two years. You ask why I'm still here if its so bad. Well honestly, its just a place to lay my head at night. I do enjoy the pool area, but wish it was open later than 8pm. If you hit a snag in traffic or something, and then you make dinner- you aren't done eating until 7:30. So no chance to relax there.
I'm here because of location. I'm here because of laziness. I'm here because I just am not sure how much longer my job will be here and I cannot sign somewhere else for a whole year.
But I don't refer anyone I know here. I don't like inviting friends over to see the place. And if you've read the reviews, you know why. I don't think I've had any outlandish experiences here. But I gave my observation.
I don't know if you're man or woman, but I would not feel safe living here if I weren't an oversized male. I don't find an issue with it considering I can take care of myself and I don't really have many valuables. But if I were a young lady living here... I'd be out in a hot minute!
