Not worth the cost

I have lived here for two years and it's time to leave. The apartment is spacious, very quiet (the walls are made of concrete), close to the hospital, and parking comes with the rent. Unfortunately, at more than $1000 for a one-bedroom, the cost is entirely too high for the area. There are constant frustrations with the laundry facility, occasional bugs, and broken elevators---we only have two in our 20-story building. Management is quick to jump on problems, but usually requires multiple attempts to correct problems. The current manager lives in the building and very much tries to make sure everything runs smoothly. But given the location and amenities, the cost for a one-bedroom really should be $700.
The good:
Pool on the roof
Modernized laundry facility (new machines as of one month ago)
Ample parking
Quiet if facing the hospital
The bad:
Loud if facing 836
Constant problems with the trash chute
No recycling
The prices:
1Br/1 Ba $1000
2Br/1 Ba $1200 (What the heck!)
