my car was broken into and all my stereo stuff was gone. granted, it wasn't a fancy sound system, but it shows they are desperate. my roomate had his harley motocycle stolen- on the back of a truck. even though he had theft insurance, going through the process was a pain. security seems to have some kind of kickback. either that or they are just plain inefficient. i myself saw someone trying to break into a car. i called the police, but the guy had a spotter and ran away.

the noise is also a problem.

get yourself an alarm and insurance and earplugs and everything will be better.
