Too big to properly manage, good space for dogs

There is a point where a few people can no longer efficiently manage a property, no matter how hard they try. Not to say that the all female staff even care to work to help residents, but with such a large community, it is simply a matter of supply vs. demand. I lived here over a year, and man did it suck. Constant stress with the office, especially Terry Martinez, the manager. She is simply an unstable and overall awful human being who needs to seek some help. On the bright side, there is ample space to walk with animals as many people can walk dogs out on the fields which used to be a golf course. Of course, they are also tearing all that land apart and building more buildings to cram people up more and make more money, without revamping there own supply/staff/maintenance sources to meet the new bigger needs or more residents, so the downward spiral continues.
Also, dont be surprised if some of these 'positive' reviews here are posted by their own staff. The rent.com ad is managed by one of the female staff. Notice how there are so many pictures of the beautiful pool' That's because that is about the only nice thing, when it is open, sporadically. But don't fret, you need to have an ID on you, which you need to pay a whopping $50 for if you misplace. You get carded for this inconvenience at all times by idiotic (to say the least) maintenance. Plus, no visitors allowed, since they will also need ID cards. But don't worry, there won't be any room for visitors anyway with the shear mass of human bodies which can manage to fit into a pool and surrounding sundeck. But don't get me wrong, I am a laborer myself and have been a mistreated maintenance man, who has been underpaid. But dealing with anyone from the staff at this place, from the guard who has to check you in every single time you enter or exit the community, to the pool person, it gets really inconvenient and unnecessary. Plus, don't feel safe with all this 'security'. They will check you for no reason and not check the next person just as well.
Going back to the rent.com ad, of course the model apartments are wonderous. And when you go to see your own place, these will be the only ones in the entire 1000 apartment community which are available to view. Oh, and if you have kids, the 'brand new' playground is not open during convenient hours, such as after 5 pm or in the morning, but only when the maintenance people remember to unlock it. So your kids will have just as much fun playing in the street.
Another key distinction which makes fontainebleau a '5 star resort' is the wonderful gym, where only have the machines operate, and all are over 15 years old. The a/c runs most of the time though, so that makes up for everything else. There is no billiards room, that picture is actually a room in the main office.
So Finally, if you want to leave a more bitter person than you arrived, fontainebleau awaits you.
PS You'll definitely remember how to spell Fontainebleau perfectly, after all the times you'll complain about that word.
PSS Don't be fooled by the ridiculous amount of personal information (bank statements, payrolls, reference letters) and private information, not to mention insultingly stupid fees (administrative fee $300, pet fee $500, application fee $100, cleaning fee $300) which they try to charge you when you try to move in.
I do feel for the people who are desperate to either move out of this place or another terrible place and just want to settle into this place and ignore all these negative ratings and just be finished with the stress of moving, but let me tell you, my life and that of my family's is a lot more stress free after moving out of the place. I will not forget my experience in dealing with united property management.
If you do decide to rent here, don't be nice. You will be charged surprise fees throughout your lease ($100 satellite fee, $100 cable fee, $100 screen repair/upgrade fee). Raise hell for everything.
Also, as a last minute check to persuade you from not renting:
Check the pedophiles living in the community (last I checked in 2008, there were 5)
Check out united property management, the parent company.
Best of luck to you all. Good renting.
