First, let me start off by saying that I wish I had checked on this site before I had moved in to this rotten place!

We moved in November of 2005 (a few months after the hurricane season from hell) and the building we were in was in total dissarray. The railings which keep you from falling 30 feet to your injury were bent and unstable, and roofing debris was sitting in the middle of the so-called "courtyard." This was pretty much the case for about an adiitional 8 months. The handyman was still in the apartment installing a toilet while we were moving in our furniture. We didn't get closet doors for about 2 months.

2 weeks after we moved in, our power mysteriously went out. We reported it to FPL who informed us that the apartments main breaker needed to be reset...of course we had no access, and when we called the "emergency" line we were greeted with a "what do you want me to do about it'" and hours and hours later is when a response happened. 15 minutes later the power went out, same process all over again. At one point we ended up with 3 days of no power and not so much as a simple returned phone call. And even less, an apology.

The apartment was returned in impecable condition and barely 20% of our deposit returned, citing "steam cleaning", "painting" and cleaning fees. These are normal owner costs, and they screwed us out of our deposit to cover their obligation as owners.

Dont give your money to these crooks!!!
