DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
This was the first apartment I rented and the worst. I left after less than one year and I was running away as fast as I could when I did.
The security gate never worked at all during the time I lived there; because of this anyone was easily able to access the apartment complex. Cars were vandalized; as was as my own, and parking spaces were taken up by people who did not live in the complex (each apartment is allowed one guest parking spot) causing those who lived there to park along the sides of the lot and along the sidewalk--there was no other parking anywhere else!!! Because of the parking problems, tenants' vehicles were towed without notice and at those tenants' expense.
There is only one dumpster for trash for the entire complex and because of this it was always overflowing; stray cats were constantly feeding on the garbage left on the ground next to the dumpster. In fact, stray cats were everywhere. I love cats and have two of my own, but the ones at this complex were extremely wild and in need of immunization. I went through quite a mess and legal battle when I was attacked and bitten by one of them. After enduring two nights in a local hospital for antibiotic treatment and rabies prevention, and being slapped with a $5,000.00 medical bill, the apartment management rudely denied any wrong-doing or negligence on their part--despite the fact that it is the apartment's responsibility to remove any stray and possibly dangerous animals from the premises.
Dealing with the apartment management is a long, tiring, painstaking process. When something was in need of fixing, it took something of a miracle to accomplish. I went without air-conditioning in the summer months for ten days straight and without a working light in the bathroom for seven. When I called the management office, my calls were never returned and, if after a billion tries, I finally reached a live person, their lack of response to my messages was excused with a "oh, we were busy." When my problems were finally assessed and someone finally came to do the necessary repairs, it was simply pure luck if they spoke even broken-English. It is extremely difficult to explain to someone who speaks only Spanish that your dishwasher is not performing or locking properly--when you speak only English.
I recommend you do not rent from this complex and continue searching for someplace else.
