DON'T MOVE HERE!!

My husband and I can't wait to move out of this apartment complex. I have lived in numerous apartments and have never had to deal with such rude management, such terrible parking, and such fear walking outside to my car.
The management changed a year or so ago and everything has gone down hill since. They must have lowered their standards because families used to live here, but now it just feels like we live in the ghetto. There in no longer a security guard and the security gate, when it is working, is worthless.
There are no assigned parking spots and there are way fewer spots than there are apartments, at least in the area of the complex we live. We usually have to park our cars 3 buildings away, especially if we get home in the evening.
The maintenance crew is nice, but they don't follow through. We had a man tell us he would be back the following week to finish his work, that was last November and we haven't seen him since. We have called multiple times to get someone back out here and no one has come; we have complained and were told there there was never a work order put in about it (hmmm... is that my fault'). We called the emergency line once and were never helped, and never contacted afterward to see if everything was okay.
We don't own a pet and rarely spend time hanging out around the complex, but our neighbor owns a pet and told us that she no longer cleans up after her pet because there is already so much pet poop that it isn't worth it... that is sick!
I would recommend trying to find another place to live. We can't wait and are planning to break our lease, no matter what the cost, just to get out.
