Things Changed for the Better! :)

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
When I moved in, I check this property out on this website...they had a 22% rating. I looked at the apartments anyway. What I saw and heard made me very happy. But I was wary. I spoke with the leasing agent and asked up front about the complaints from this very website! And she was very honest. She asked me to go back and look at the dates of the complaints and note that they were mostly from 2007 and that they had just been bought by Equity Residential. Things were going to be changing, and that they were newly owned and managed. They kept their word when I moved in. Things have been well run, professionally, and I have NEVER had a problem. I was 'rubbed the wrong way' once by the Assistant Leasing manager, but that might be the personality style she has. As far as anyone else in the office, they have all been soooo helpful! I wanted to renew my lease the second year but wouldn't be able to stay if my rent went up any more. They told me I could negotiate my lease, and it ended up staying the same as the year before. I've been screwed over by an apartment complex before, and while Kings Colony remains professional, they still treat their residents as individuals not just 'apartment no.1234'. It's clean, well kept, maintenance is quick to resolve, paying online is AWESOME, and when I had to break my lease during my SECOND year, they made it as easy as possible for me. They are very hospitable and I will rent with Equity any other chance that I get.
