I've lived in SW Miami & Kendall for several years. Rented houses, condos, apartments here. In that time, I can honestly say I never felt so unsafe in any other location, and with good reason.

The day we moved in, I kid you not (I have 3 witnesses) we found what looked like a meth pipe lighter wrapped in a dirty rag and stashed inside the breaker box! Turned this in to management and she dismissed it utterly, told us to "throw it in the trash". I'd have preferred giving it to the police and handling it with gloves! Second, despite loving the apartment itself, many of the tenants are NOT so considerate. Loud parties (complete with hired DJ's & bands!) going on till 3-4am on occasion (in an apartment, in my experience, this simply isn't acceptable) and worse- the teenagers there are completely out of control. I can't count the number of times the cops were outside at 1-2 am running them off, breaking up fist-fights in the parking lot. In one instance they chased some kid down & tackled him a few feet from my car, found drugs on him and hauled him off to jail. Overall, I felt like I'd moved to a slum & never left Kendall.

My experience with the "amenities" haha. I swam in the pool on a few occasions. The last- I came up out of the water with someones DIRTY BANDAID stuck to my skin! DISGUSTING. Often kids swim there unattended and unwatched by parents, which is very dangerous. Often teenagers hop the fence at night and have their very own "pool parties". Shopping carts are a typical landscaping element. I'm not a snob mind you, I grew up poor. But never in my life have I paid THAT much money for so much hassle & unsafe conditions. Unless there is A) New management B) More police patrol C) More parental supervision for kids age 12-17 and D) SOME kind of security- I suggest you avoid this place.

I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT THIS PERSON IS 100% CORRECT ON WHAT HE/SHE IS SAYING IV'E LIVED HERE FOR 4 YEARS NOW MY CAR WAS STOLEN AND MY WIFE CAR WAS BROKEN INTO ALSO AND NOTHING WAS NEVER DONE BY MANAGEMENT AND ALSO PEOPLE HANGING OUT VERY LATE ON THE PREMISSES AND ALSO LOUD MUSIC PLAYING FROM CARS. I TOTALLY AGREE THAT THIS IS NOT A VERY SAFE PLACE TO LIVE AND I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT TO NO ONE.THE RENT IS RAISED EVERY YEAR BUT WHEN YOU NEED SOMETHING TAKEN CARE IN YOUR APT IT DOESNT GET DONE.
