When I first moved in, everything was nice, pretty, and quiet. It is right on water, nice pool, and many amenities. However, it has all gone down hill.
The noise has gone up, more parties--on balconies and in other apartments, stray cat population is STILL increasing, repair problems do not get fixed promptly, failure to replace CORRECT a.c. filters and toilet stoppers have cost much unnecessary $$$ for bills, and nothing is included. W/D, water and cable are all separate. Also, even though the entire complex looks nice and costly, the area beyond the unguarded "security" gates is in some patches questionable. Let's just say that, if you are a caucasian and think that you are moving into a caucasian neighborhood, you are mistaken.
On the up side, the closet and storage space is fabulous!! Very large apartments with nice quality. However, in the two years of me living here, I have had my many problems with ants. They have been in check for a few months now but I still remember when they weren't--they were everywhere!!! Even in closets where there was NO FOOD. Also, don't step on the grass. Pet owners are very lazy when it comes to cleaning up after their pets.
All in all though, I can't advise for renting here or not renting here , it does have it's good and bad side as with any apartment. One last thing, if you like bars and socializing, you have to drive at least 20-30 minutes to get to the Grove or Kendall (pretty far drive even after 1-2 drinks). Finally, I really dislike Miami. Nobody speaks English, everything is overpriced, traffic problems are atrocious and the crime rate is top three in country. Scary.
