Not exactly a walk in the "parc"

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
I have lived at Le Parc for almost two years now. During that time, the security gate has worked only about ten times. On the ocassion that it is actually working, my key card has malfunctioned, and I have had to illegally park my car to walk into the leasing office and request that I be let in to my own neighborhood. Luckily, I get home early in the afternoon. If I got home late at night, when the office is closed I might have had to start randomly calling apartments to be let in. I have received several of these random calls from desperate tenants on many late nights. And all this after the very official sounding memo in Nov. 2002 saying that the gates were going to be closed without exception. Yeah right! But even all the inconvenience of the damn gates is better than them ALWAYS being open when we are paying to live in a gated community. Since the gates are always open, our cable box outside was looted and we were without television for four days while the cable company tried to figure out the situation. Also, for several weeks, I was forced to come home to find a gang of questionable looking teenagers hanging out in the parking lot RIGHT next to where I usually park (about a block from my building). They would leave empty beer bottles, cigarette butts, used condoms and other garbage all around my car and yell obscenities at me like "hey hot -----" when I would get out of my car. They also threatened to damage my car when I ignored their advances. I complained to the stupid bimbos in the office. After being made to feel like everything was my own fault, they implemented the system where the moron security guard rides around in a ------- golf cart doing NOTHING. The problem never went away until I took matters into my own hands. Finally, a friend of mine that lives here had his car towed for being between the lines. Ironically, he thought his car had actually been stolen because the gates were open that night. When he found out it had been towed he showed the management the drag marks the tires left when it was towed. The marks were right on the lines and weren't interfering with any nearby parking spaces at all. Unbelievable. Oh yeah, and be careful you don't step on the massive pieces of dog ---- left behind by the huge dogs around here (even though you're not supposed to have big dogs and you're supposed to pick up their ----). What a joke!
