I liked Ludlam

I moved out of Ludlam in August after 2 years of living there in a 2/2. Both my roommate and I liked it. The staff is awesome; for instance when I was moving out things got super hectic, I had painted most of the apartment when we moved in and I told Jackie to just deduct the painting from my deposit. She was so sweet she told me it would cost me my whole deposit. She then gave me the name of the Ludlam painter who painted my whole apt for 200 dollars. Long story short, I got my whole deposit back thanks to Jackie and Tijuana... most places don't care when you are leaving, but true to form, the staff was extremely helpful up until the day I moved out. Also in the two years I lived there I always felt safe and I loved how close it was to UM. Ludlam isn't 100% perfect (the parking can be a problem at night and the gate sometimes isn't working) but seriously for that price and that location.. you won't get better. If I had stayed in Miami for graduate school I would still be there.

If I would have known better before I moved in I would've checked for police reports before I signed a lease here. Personally, I have had to call the cops a handful of times. And I have only lived here for a little over a year. It is not unbareable to live here, but for the amount that we pay in rent, they should be able to keep the gate fixed and hire at the least a security guard.
