This apartment was chosen by my wife and I because we needed somewhere temporary to live while I did my graduate work at a local school. The location made it easy to get to school but has NO local easy-access eateries, its located along the busiest, most corporate retail street in Miami. The grounds are not that great - from time to time they look nice, but aside from one playground, it is NOT conducive to walks in the morning, afternoon, or evening (though the exercise room has been updated). It doesn't help that the apartments are built alongside the only railroad tracks in south Florida AND along Snapper Creek Expwy. Maintenance is pretty hit and miss - there's a "priority list" and plenty of "my problem is greater than yours" residents here (a good instance where a diverse culture is not helpful to the sitaution).

Most recently, our rent shot up a nice $110/month. Why' Because they are the only apartments that haven't switched to condos on this side of the street... YET. Its a great reason - live in a place that keeps you from being miserable just under 50% of the time for more than your budget can handle. Of course, now I am doing my last year of graduate work and these two degrees have kept my wife and me at these apartments since it was simply easier than moving.

The office help is also hit-and-miss. They seem helpful until they feel like they have to do anything that is actually, well, helpful. Then, of course, you are attacking them for trying to do their job. Have fun with this if you have to live here.

If you HAVE to move to Miami, I am sure you can do much MUCH better than Nob Hill Apts. (a Gannon Management Property - just so you know).
