It was a beautiful morning when my husband and I visited this place. When I got there, it seemed very quiet, and the office look very clean. I should've known that the price that they offered me was to good to be true. They were having special at that time. They took me to a showroom on the first floor right next to the office that they fixed pretty nice to show us.I know it's business, but at least let people take a look at where they going to live in.They don't let you see your apartment untill you sign the lease. They tricked us.
After we got our key, OMG!!!! First of all, one of the two elevators doesn't work, and the other one is always stucked. I got stucked in it several times with a newborn. It smells, and there is no fan in it. The hallways are stink, and there are lots of junkies in the building. @ night, there are lots guys in the parking lot making noise looking like escaped prisoners. "one night , my husband's friend locked his keys in his car, and they there trying to open it, one of those bad looking guy walked by and told them" you are wasting your time, I usually break the window". I couldn't believe it. He thought that they were stealing the car, so he was trying to tell them what he does. One night I heard gun shot next door to my apartment, I called the police and they never showed up.Even the police are scared to get into that apartment building. Next day I went to the Office and spoke to the manager. He was very rude and disrespectfull to us. We asked to leave the apartment because we didn't feel safe, he told us to give them a 2 months notice plus last month rent, which we did. I was ready give millions to get out of that hell place. When we gave our notice, it said in the paper that the inspection was supposed to be done the day that we return the key, but they kept us running around saying they don't have time to do it. Finally my husband had to stop several time begging them to do the inspection. The worst part is that after we left they sent us a bill and kept our deposit, which we agreed because we didn't want anything to do with them anymore, we sent the balance, and even tracked the mail with USPS which stated that they recieved it two days after we sent it. a week later, we didn't received a receipt, we recieved a collection letter saying that we owed them money. When i called the office, all they could say to me was"sorry". Not only they ripped us from the beginning , but they messed up our credit to a bill that we payed on time. This apartment was the worst nightmare in my life. I don't ever want anyone to live there period. the neighborhood is dirty and loud. They have gangs there according to the police. Please people even they offer you $1.00 rent, DO NO RENT THERE.
