If you are thinking of moving to Palmetto Place Apartment please read this carefully.
Management:
Palmetto Place is one of the worst managed properties in Miami. When you enter Palmetto Place the first thing you can notice is the gate is broken. It has not been fixed EVER. I have lived here for some time now and have never seen the front gate closed. For some reason the management is so busy doing other things, (checking their make-up) that they have not got around to it. The new manager does not have time for anything or anyone. She does not listen to any complaints or understands what customer service really is. She will not listen to anything you have to say.
Cars Missing:
Cars are being towed without any warning. There has been a huge car towing campaign by the management hired towing company who gets a huge cut on every car that is towed. The towing company worker explained that to me in full confidence. Even the security guard is in on this scheme as the towing worker explained that he gets $20.00 for every car he points out for tow. Once you have realized that the car is missing rather then call the police like I did, you need to go to the leasing office and they can check if you car was towed. They will give you a reason and say that they have pictures. For some reason the pictures were lost or the driver of the towing company has gone on vacation. You have to pay $121.00 to get your car back. Missing work and ruining your whole day is none of the management s concerns.
Appliances:
If you get a place where the appliances are all in working order then you are a lucky one. When I came to Palmetto Place here is the list which was compiled and given to fix in writing:
1. Over range burners not working.
2. Molded kitchen top.
3. Bath tub needs fiber glass finishing (Black residue all over).
4. Bathroom sink chipped.
5. Garbage disposal leaking.
6. Toilet water tank leaking.
7. Refrigerator missing items.
8. Ice maker missing its dish.
9. Main door not sealed. (bugs coming in the apartment)
This was the small list of things that needed immediate attention.
Tennis Court, Pool, and surrounding area:
Tennis court is all chipped and lights are never on. There is a hideous storage house next to the tennis court that makes the view an industrial play house. Pool actually had things floating in there which I shall leave your imagination to wonder. One of the kids that were there told me that a young child s diaper came off inside the pool while her mother was holding the toddler. Now that was a site to see, I should have had my digital camera to record that amazing flotation device. Surrounding area is relatively nice with a new paint job and maintenance from the lawn service company. Dogs make the most wonderful sounds that will keep you up the whole night. While dog poop is a normal site on your shoe if you decided to stroll in the lush green grass. I am not a landscape artist but the real success of the grass is in the dog poop. Guaranteed!!!
Parking:
If you can get parking in front of your apartment then you obviously are home all day and night. For some reason it seems that no one here works. When I go to work the parking lot in filled. When I come home from work the parking lot is filled. I was off three business days last week and was wondering if a parking spot can be freed near my apartment. Guess what if was not for the whole three days I had to walk about a block to park my car. Have I also told you the most wonderful news about parking' Well I will share that as well. There has been a rash of car break-in at Palmetto Place; nothing major just your stereo system, airbags, car change, CDs, and sometimes you car entirely.
Conclusion:
I am so glad for one thing, my lease is about to be up!!! I am paying over 1100.00 yet piece of mind is nowhere to be found. What a great place to live.

Excellent review..............yes to all the above plus burglarized apt (MINE) my lease is almost up and I am getting the hell out!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to those who stay.
