I've been living in Palmetto Place since October 2008 and cannot wait to get out of here!
Everyone in the leasing office is either rude, or incompetent. They don't care to help the tenants. The assistant property manager, Annette, is extremely rude and speaks to tenants in a condescending manner.
Super expensive pet fees. $500 DEPOSIT PLUS $25/MONTH/PET!
UPS of FedEx automatically delivers all packages to the leasing office. I had to call the retailer three times to have the same package resent to me because once the package would enter the leasing office, it would disappear...even after the property manager signed for it.
Parking is HELL. I live right by the visitor entrance. If I don't get home before 8PM, I have to park all the way by the mailboxes. By the visitor entrance the spots are ok but once you drive further into the complex, the spots are tiny and it is almost impossible to not double park.
The worst part is that although the security officer sleeps in his car a lot, he some how manages to find time to sticker my car and not the cars around mine who are parked like a-holes.
The walls are paper thin and my neighbors love to slam their doors. And because my apartment is so close to the visitor gate, I hear it opening and closing all night long.
The apartments are nicely laid out and the property has improved in regards to maintenance(the gates do work). But, I would not want to stay here longer than I have to.

Good review these apartments are a nightmare cant wait for my lease to be up as well.

Excellent review, I could'nt agree more with you. The only thing I would say is Annette is the only staff at Palmeto Place that is not rude and helps out alot, she is the only one I actually turn to. My lease is up in 2 months and I am getting out of there because my apt got burglarized....but not only me my neighbor from upstairs and some cars.
