I lived there for one year. TC will promise you the world to get you to sign the lease. Once you are hooked, you are screwed. From broken elevators for months at a time, broken washers and dryers, to electric shut offs and water cuts. Security they say''' Learn that many apartments are broken into, and the "gated community" is a fake sense of security. The gate is operated by untrained, minimum wages staff. In the office you will find a bunch of hypocrites. They are wonderful when they want you to sign up, but go there after to request maintenance and you will be given the cold shoulder. (Hopefully someone will understand English) THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE - PERIOD. Everyone I knew that lived there hated it and could not wait to finish their leases. Of-course the few people that lived there 10 years ago and their rent is still under 1000 are happy with the changes. But as far as the new residents that have to pay prime to live there, its a rip off. They target professionals but treat you as scum. I hated that place... I am planning a class action against them. IF you are one of the many that got screwed by this property e-mail me at juanluca77@hotmail.com

Let's see, where do I start responding to this non-sense. Ok let's start by the elevators, broken for months? Well, if you lived at a BRAND NEW community, you probably would not have an elevator problem for say about 5 years or so, oh wait, I did live at a new community and the same thing happen within a year of opening, I guess mechanical issues will happen anywhere the difference is that at Portofino there are two elevators per building, if one is out you can still use the other one. There are washer and dryers on every floor. If one is broken go to another floor it's not like you don't have any other option. During the electric shut offs I have personally called FPL and confirmed that this was caused by FPL not the property, why blame them for something they have no control of? Security you say? Since when is an apartment office responsible for your safety? ---- happens. I consider myself lucky that they at least have someone at the entrance and another person walking at night. Most apartments don't have anything at all. When I moved here I checked with the police department and found that compared to other apartments in the area, this was the best. Of course if I could afford Aventura I would live there, but I can't, so I make do and protect myself. You cannot live dependant on what other people do or don't do for you. Get a life, seriously, you need one.

REALWORLD...How OBVIOUS it is you are REALFAKE? Do you really expect us to beleive that you really live there??? HAHAHAHAHA!!! Trammel Crow has absolutely no shame, how much do you get paid to write these comedies? Oh well, I tried my best to warn my fellow renters but I guess this site is open to phony posts and renders it USELESS...like Portofino's security. LOLOLOL Good luck.
