Disgusting!

I hated this place from the moment I moved in. Even though they replaced the carpets and painted the hallways, everything was disgustingly dirty within 1 month. Pet owners let their dogs go to the bathroom everywhere, including the carpeted hallways and mailroom. Tenants don't bother to throw their trash down the chute; they just leave it in the laundry room. There are always huge potholes all over the complex after it rains. Elevators are always broken. Stairwells smell like urine. Whenever the electricity goes out, the supposed emergency lights in the hallways don't even come on. So, you are engulfed in pitch blackness in the hallways and stairwells. That is so dangerous. The fire alarm is always going off. Since living there, I've seen the fire trucks come out numerous times. They actually allow sex offenders to live in the complex (what kind of retarded background check do they do'!'). If you have kids, definitely don't move there & check the state's sex offender website first. The train is horribly loud. Apartments & cars were getting broken into (the security guards don't do their job; they just let everyone through). The management office never answers the phone and don't really care. Overall, this place is just plain horrible.

I agree with everything you are saying 100%. Except, you left out the cockroaches. Also, when I moved out a collection agency contact me stating I owe $1000 for staining the carpet and to resurface the bathtub. I do not know what they are talking about. Resurfacing the bathtub, when I moved in it was painted white.

that is right on the money! We had to live in a Motel 6 for 2 weeks because they were "fixing" our apartment. On our move-in date, they told us they were just getting started with our apartment. our walkthrough was rushed and incomplete because there were people working on the apartment. They also refuse to show people the actual apartment they are to move into. They told us we couldn't see ours when we first visited the complex because it had rained earlier, and yet, the day we moved in, we saw them take prospective residents in their little golf carts IN THE RAIN! Management never does their job right, if they actually show up. Kids ride their bikes in the hall and slam into our door all the time. The list just goes on and on.

I must applause in a standing ovation. Thank goodness that I'm not the only one who had to go thru hell at this poor excuse for a 'luxury' apartment. Feel free to see the comments I wrote and the comments I got back in response. Utterly dispicable. The Crime scene investigator that came out to my apt. when it was burgarlized assured me that it was a classic 'inside job'....Yet there's nothing you can do legally. Sites like this one are the only thing we have to protect ourselves...since "security guards" {lol} are a joke. The management office is what I picture as the equivalent of the 7th level of Hell from Dante's inferno. Cold, ugly people with absolutely no compassion for their 'dear' residents. But you know what? What comes around goes around..That's all I have to say...Except for the fact that I wouldn't wish my worst enemy this ordeal.
