It's one thing for you to have spent several years at Portofino and undured abusive managament practices than to simply move in, live there a few months and leave all this wonderful praise for the place. It is irresonsible to do so. You should consider why the place has less than a 30% approval before trying to sabotage the honest poor ratings with unreasonably praise just becasue you still have not experience what the majority rest have. There will come a time, for example, where you would like to move out and will ask to be allowed to stay on a month to month basis which is the norm most anywhere except for Portofino. You will be stuck with having to sign a new lease even while looking for another place and then, naturally, Portofino will then expect you to pay them for "breaking the contract" they have forced you to sign. Those of you who give undeserved praise to Portofino probably work for it or are one of those in the minority who think president Bush is doing a good job. By saying you don't understand all the bad feedback you are also calling those giving it liars are you not' So then who is really lying here' Thank God that in a civilized society numbers will always speak higher and in Portofino's case the majority are the ones who are absolutely 100% right about their concerns.

Actually, my husband and I are moving in September and are on a month to month lease at the moment, we were not required to sign any new lease. Believe me, I am not calling anyone a liar! I am simply adding my experience because I think the voices of the few are being heard here because people are much more likely to find a place to vent their anger when they have had a bad experience than good. I think I sited ample reason why I like this place. Just because you personally had a bad experience doesn't mean everyone will. And why did you live here for years if you hated it so much? It sounds like you don't live here anymore and maybe aren't aware that a new property manager took over in October '06. And to your comment on Bush, I am a democrat, but what in the world does that have to do with anything?!?
