Either things have improved since these posts (all are over one year ago) or the other posters are hard to please. I moved in here last March and it is great.
My apt was clean and is easy to keep clean. I don't even have cockroaches here! There are at least 3 different maintenance guys on staff and they have responded quickly to every need and fixed it the first time. They even moved our assigned parking place for us (the original one was under a tree full of birds...and the evidence was evident every morning on the car!)
I do think they could do a better job on keeping the walkway from my apt to elevator clean and they could use more washers and dryers. The elevator in my building works great. The pool is kept clean and sparkling. I have a full screened in balcony, a large one BR apt with a DISHWASHER (not all apts have this keep asking for one when you come look) for under $850/mo in a quiet area that is virtualy crime free. I feel safe walking at night in this neighborhood.
I work in the real estate rental business in this area (independant realtor) and frankly it is extremely difficult to find a clean decent one BR under $900 in this area so yes Presidential House is a good value.
