So, so. Not worth the cost.

We haven't had much experience with the management, and the small amount that we have had has been relatively positive (relatively because decent customer service is hard to come by in this city period). My major complaints are the walls are super thin, one of the washing machines on our floor has been broken for months, the tenant above us overflows his bathtub or something and the water POURS down our bathroom vent, and the residents here do a VERY POOR job of being respectful of other people in the buildings. They leave messes everywhere and drive recklessly through the parking lots. The parking lots are poorly lit and a bit scary to walk through at night time. The apartment it self it pretty nice, with huge sliding glass doors in the living room to the patio and a nice layout. The pool area is kept nice. If I had a do over, I wouldn't rent here again because it is not "luxury" and it's definitely over priced.

This review is right on. I live there and I agree. Before moving here, you've got to know that there is a major cultural clash. If you are acustomed to a culture where people have respect for their neighbors (e.g. if you are Anglo, European, or East Asian), you will find living in Royal Palms to be a living hell. Nearly all of the residents are Latino (Cuban, Venezuelan, Columbian) and they enjoy making a lot of noise. They talk loudly, they play their music loudly, and they walk around like you're in their way. They throw trash around as if they are on the streets of some Columbian slum. Most of the parents do not watch their children, who rampage like wild animals all over the place. I cannot emphasize more that if you like a quiet and civilized place to live, this is not it. |

This place definitely needs to improve the calibre of it's tenants if it's going to last. It has the feeling of high priced subsidized housing. I truly don't know how most of these tenants can afford to live here as they come across as uneducated and trashy.
