Big apt., good value, rude and unorganized staff...

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002
I lived there from Feb. 2000 until Feb. 2002. I liked the fact that I had a 2 story apartment with 1300 sf all by myself, but the overall maintenance and management of the complex is awful. It takes them a while to fix things. They also lost my rent check twice (in one occasion they even posted a note outside my door saying that I owed the rent, which I always paid on time). When I complained, they looked harder, and found the check. The office staff is not very organized, and sometimes not corteous either. They even seemed to be annoyed by their job. I must say the exception is Hector, a very nice guy who is always willing to make life easier for me (unlike the rest).
They remodeled some things about the complex, but in general it is not the best. The rent used to be cheap for the size of the units, but they are increasing the rent now, so it may not be that much of a good deal anymore. The security in the area is good, though. The pools are dirty, and the neighboors sometimes play the music very loud.
Overall, it is a good place to live for a good six months while you get to know Miami better and find something else.
