I do not live here, but had booked a room through hotels.com for New Year's Eve. Apparently, although it is an apartment building, they rent rooms like a hotel. My husband and I arrived and the lobby seemed nice enough. When we actually went up to our room (it was a studio) the first thing we noticed was a white sitting chair with what looked like vomit stains all over it! The bedspread had several hairs (what looked like pubic hairs) on it, and the balcony was dirty and did not even have a chair to sit on. We immediately went back down stairs to Alfredo's office and politely explained the situation. He viewed the room for himself and offered to put a blanket on the stained chair or to have it removed from the room. We told him that that was unacceptable and he tried to show us another room which was equally unsanitary. The Club at Brickell Bay has since refused to refund our money (about $200) claiming that we "checked out early". I have no idea what it is like to "live" there, but will personally never step foot in that apartment building again! If thinking of just staying a night or two, I recommend the JW Marriott right down the street...it is beautiful and clean, not GROSS!!!
