We truly love living here. My boyfriend and I moved to Bay Harbor Islands, almost exactly one year ago. Originally we rented a one bedroom apartment (which we loved), but needed more space for a home office.About seven months after we moved in, the two bedroom apartment opened up and we jumped right on it. We contacted Nancy (the manager) and she immediatley started working on getting us the apartment. Within two days we were signing a lease on our new place, and got a great deal because we were already renting with them.
The apartment is quite large for a rental and has a great layout. The kitchen, bathrooms, floors, carpets and exterior building have all been rehabbed in the last couple of years (if that long ago)and everything feels brand new. Though the apartments do not come with alot of fancy finishes like, granite counters and stainless steel appliances; the finishes and fixtures are all modern and in very good taste.
On top of living in a great apartment, with great management and maintenance, the town of Bay Harbor Islands itself is just a paradise. Regardless of its close proximity to Bal Harbor Shoppes, the island is completely void of "scene" absolutely ZERO pretentiousness. The area is exceptionally well maintained and extremely safe (if I'm not mistaken the lowest crime rate in Dade County). There is a nice mix of people on the island, as well; from elderly people and families to young single professionals and students.
All in all it boils down to this : we are in walking to distance to one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet, walking distance to all of the great restaurants on Kane concourse and Harding, walking distance to Bal Harbor shoppes (not my thing, but an easy walk if it's your thing) in a beautiful area, in this great apartment, surrounded by friendly people all for a great price... It just doesn't get any better than this.
