Dispite the recent management change at Tropicana, it is still a disgrace. The office hours have now changed and do not accomodate those who work (the office hrs are now 9-5pm M-F and closed on weekends). The new management still acts as though they are doing you a favor and maintenance still takes at least two days before they come and fix a problem. When we moved in there was a problem with the bathroom shower leaking, maintenance came and supposedly fixed the probelem, seven months later I got a letter from the person right below my apartment stating that her ceiling was caving in and for me to please not use the bathroom. It was a week before I could use that bathroom again. As far as safety goes, the new management had all residents pay $24.00 deposit for each key card to enter the buildings and they locked the emergency exits. This was all well and good but for the past 4 months the key access door has not been operational and thus they have left it open. Yet they are still keeping the money from the key card which we now have no use for. The hallways still smell like pot and there are tenants that leave trash infront of there doors or in the stairwells. The new management has also put hours of operation on the laundry facilities as though people only do laundry between the hours of 9am-9pm. Honestly if you have others options it would be best for you to take them, cause this place is more than a last resort.
