I lived here for 4 years and I am glad I finally moved out. The location is great, esp for FIU students, but I don't know if the headache is worth it.

1. On my last day, upon inspection the manager JANET said, wow, great, really clean, you will get your deposit in the mail! After I moved to another State, I got a mail stating that the apartment had to be cleaned because it had a BAD ODOR. This is really a SCAM, after stating that my apartment was clean, why would she then send a mail stating that and charging me $70 for it' She knew that I was out of Florida and could not fight her.

2. Note that the inspection is worse than your mother coming over - she inspected every inch of the carpet and the walls, opened all the cabinets and cupboards to check for any spec of dust.

3. Read the fine print before signing the contract. Once you put your signature, you CAN NEVER break the lease! Even if you loose your job, get transferred due to a job or whatever happens. Even if you move out - you pay the rent for the WHOLE YEAR. It happened to me and another lady I knew who lived there. The manager said, sure we will try to get someone to rent that place, BUT we have SOOO MANY vacancies, I doubt someone will PICK YOUR PARTICULAR apartment. Yeah right! Of course she won't show our apartment to the new residents so she can have two rents coming in!

4. All the leasing office people are very rude and inconsiderate. For some reason, that is their criteria of hiring their staff based on the

5. I paid my rent on time and every year the rent increase is VERY HIGH. They have no concern for 'good tenants'. I don't even think they care if they have 'good tenants' or criminals as long as they can increase the rent and get as much money from you as they can.

6. Some very unkempt people live here, I went to the gym every sunday and suddenly this "man" goes in to work out and works out a HUGE sweat, sweating all over the equipment and never wipes it off. THEN goes and jumps in the pool, sweat and all. I felt disgusted and I'm glad I never jumped in that pool.

7. The only good staff about it is the maintenance man who lives on the property, very nice friendly man and prompt with this repair service.

8. My apartment was near the dumpster and every morning at 4am, the garbage truck would come and create a huge noise, never pick a location near any dumpster. You would think they would come at a more decent hour.

My advice: there are other better places accessible to FIU. Forget this place. It is overpriced, with a RUDE staff. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV
