This person hit this complex right on the head. To put it nicely Vista Verde apartments SUCK! Hurrican Katrina hit here on August 25, 2005 and as I write this there is still branches all over the apartment complex. The garbage dumpsters rarely gets emptied. the trash just seems to flow like a water fall. The laundry room is full of BLACK MOLD and has no hot water. the gym equipment like the weight machine has only three weights that are not broken. Inside of your place you will encounter at the least a colony of ants which they will shower when you shower, eat when you eat, cook when you cook,and sometimes sleep when you sleep. Oh yeah they also love to watch TV. If you slip and fall in the laundry area you will be told by the management that you should just forget about and pay to have a washer and dryer tower placed in your apartment for an EXTRA charge of $35.00 per month. The maintenance does nothing. Ok well they come into your apartment at least once a month to spray for ants. They come in look around, look on your table/desk, your restroom, and your bedroom while the fake orkin man sprays for ants. See we (the tenants) have some cats that also inhabit the complex. They do not harm anyone but the maintenance people will try and drown them even when they are two or three days old. To tell you how ghetto this place is once every one to two months some guy takes a regular water hose and sprays off the steps and at the same time as the spray your door you will get a small flood in the living room because all of the water comes. The list can go on and on. Another thing that I will mention the the damn grass cutters that come on Wednesday or Thursday every week or soat about 7 & 8 in the morning. They make so much noise tha you will not be able to sleep much less anything else. Outside of your apartment you are supposed to have grass well we have more dirt than anything. The security gate rarely works.

wow this was the best review i read so far. those dam grass cutters, YEAH BETWEEN 7-8AM IS CORREECT. they have weedwackers too, so it is VERY LOUD. i hope that isnt true about the cats. those ants are unstoppable, ihavent had roaches and ive been here for 2 years. the laundry room is disgusting, and unfuntional, ur better of using one of the many close laundrys off the premises.

"They do not harm anyone but the maintenance people will try and drown them even when they are two or three days old." this is called animal abuse. if you see this happening, make sure you get a description of the person doing it and call the police or aspca. i cannot believe i am reading such a horrible action. by the way, that action is a FELONY.
