Bermuda Island is a joke. While the grounds and the leasing office may make an initial pleasing presentation - there are too many negatives to ignore.

We lived here for 9 months. During that time we had:

Mold
Roaches
Silverfish
Horrible experiences with management

An incident straight outta Cops where our 3rd floor neighbor had his probation officer kick the door in.

It was just wonderful.

Then when we left, the leasing office tried to stick us with one months extra rent which we have since disputed and gotten removed.

Now - before the defenders of Zom rush to the rescue here is my response:

1. We are not slobs (actually neat freaks) so the roaches and mold are a natural byproduct of this lovely community.

2. The friendly leasing and maintenance staff suggested that we couldn't deal with the community because of our "Culture Shock" (ie the fact that we had relocated from "up north"). Forget the fact that living in Naples is actually Lack of Culture Shock.

3. Then one of the wonderful maintenance men told us that we shouldnt go to Miami because there are too many "New York Jews there"...probably should have checked our last name and last residence before making that extraordinarily 19th century comment.

Oh and lest I forget the fact that the "concrete" pillars are actually styrofoam covered with a plastic stucco facade.

Oh and I do not recommend this community to anyone with a half a brain, or anyone who may be sensitive to mold or roaches or other bugs, or anyone who may be from anywhere north of the mason dixon line.
