My experience at the Enclave began when I purchased a condo in July. I was impressed with the grounds, the amenities, and the unit itself. When I purchased they were still in process of selling off the last of the units. The management staff at that time was adequate when I dealt with them. Since purchasing and the condo association taking over the management has been awful to deal with. More specifically, the on-site Manager, Mr. Vander Kelen. He is arrogant, pompous, and rude. He is typical of a person who is given a little bit of power and abuses it. He makes up the rules as he goes along. Actually admitting that his "company policies" are in his head!!! Extremely poor communications with owners living out-of-state or offsite. When changes are made notices are placed near mailboxes or on doors, leaving offsite owners in the dark. The only time their is communication is when they are looking for their condo fees. While the property is kept nice, more emphasis should be placed on developing management skills that work to accomodate owners instead of alienating them. I understand that they inherited many problems from the developer/previous mngmt but it's time to start fresh and stop treating people like dirt. My only other comments are in regards to the clubhouse/pool area. The business center computer stinks. Too much garbage on there that makes getting any kind of work, etc done impossible. Hire someone to clean up the computer and stop the annoying pop-ups, etc. Have a working fax machine & copy machine. The pool policies could use stricter enforcement. Kids screaming and jumping in the pool right next to other guests is obnoxious, especially when parents are too stupid to keep their kids in line. Bottom line - I'm waiting to see an improvement.
