Noah's Landing is a Wanna-be Ghetto Dump

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
When we had our walk through it was during the early morning, so most of the residents were at work or school. We were told that they pressure-wash the walkways and spray for bugs once a month. Neither of these things are true. The apartment they gave us was falling apart. Within the first week the toilette began overflowing and flooding out to our living room. After calling our "emergency maintenance" line- it only took them over a week to come out and "fix" it- which didn't do anything and it started overflowing again within days. Then soon after that our Hot Water Heater broke and we came home to a flooded apartment and knowing nothing about hot water heaters, we called the maintenance line again to have no results until 4 am when they called and told us to cut the water. -We were told we would have assigned parking, which also was a load of crap. I called the office once and asked why someone was in my space, and they told me they haven't had assigned parking in years. Someone hit my car in the parking lot, and I am assuming, drove straight away. The grounds are full of kids that you would have to assume are parent-less- because they run around like anarchy's spawn. There is a group that liked to kick soccer balls in the hall way against the walls. Once I was driving to work and there was a toddler standing in the street with his sister who was only about 2 years older than him. Their mother was sitting on her steps, not doing anything, while the both of them just stood in front of my car and never moved out of the way. I idled there for almost 5 minutes because I didn't want to make the kids cry, assuming she would have half a brain and tell them to get out of the way. People open their doors in the morning and night and just let their animals run wild so they don't have to walk them-so you run a very realistic risk of hitting a random dog at any given chance. Also there is this random "ghost" Chiwawa who I cant even begin to guess who owns it-and I have nearly killed the rat several times because it is never in the custody of a loving owner or on a leash-- in fact- no one ever seems to call or acknowledge it, leading me to believe that I am hallucinating. The tenants are, on the whole, disgusting. They throw all of their trash on the ground and let their dogs crap everywhere (note- never walk in the grass). Some of them like to clean out their cars- which immediately ensues that the trash will be thrown on the ground and they will drive away. There is one family that likes to have Mc Donalds every other day- and whenever they bring it home- they never manage to make it to their apartment to consume their dinner- they just tear into it like Tasmanian devils and shred into the wrappers and bag and cups like they were on crack and then throw it on the ground. Nearly every week the trash compacter (which doesn't function in compacting trash anymore- just storage) is overflowed with garbage-so people start throwing it on the ground out front of it-and it has been so bad we have considered calling the department of health. Every time someone comes up or down the steps- it will rattle and sound like a loud bass is rumbling in every room of the house. The bull-frogs in mid-summer are deafening. There are 11 year old girls who walk around dressed like prostitutes and I wont go near that pool in fear of contracting something. Large groups of people like to sit on the steps and be loud and not move when you need to get down them- and people are constantly selling drugs in the hallway. I hate this place- and never would have moved here had I had even half a clue of how obscenely stupid everyone here is. If you want a cheap place that isn't in the middle of no-man's land- try anywhere else but here! It really isn't worth the money.
