I lived in Ocean Oaks apartments in 1998. Aside from the many shady people who always seemed to be looming around every corner, the managment were horrible to deal with. After a month of living there, the bathroom from an upstairs tennent had been leaking for soo long that the ceiling was crumbling into one of our bedrooms. I guess its not necessary to say how horrible the smell was. In spite of this, the managers there promised to fix the problem over and over for a month! Nothing was ever done. We were all at our witts-end when on Valentines nite we came home to a horrendous sight. We were broken into, and had everything of value stolen. As it turned out we had the only apartment there - on the first floor - that had a bathroom window. We were told by the police that the lock on the window was rediculously easy to get into, one flip of a screw-driver allow the burgulor access to our 3-room apartment. My room-mates and I were young female college students, and were very scared to live there any longer. Instead of respectfully allowing us to break our lease, they told us that we would be held responsible for the rent for the rest of that year. To make matters worse, the apartment was in all of our names, but they have ruined MY credit by charging me that rent. This apartment complex SHOULD BE CALLED OCEAN HOAX APT. IF YOU VALUE ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE, DONT RENT ONE OF THESE APARTMENTS, OR DO BUSINESS WITH THE LEASING COMPANY WHO OWNS THEM!!!!!!!!!
