Not the beach living you would want.

Ocean Oaks is terrible, the staff and the residents. The pool is rarely cleaned and usually locked. The first month I moved in I watched a man obviously high on drugs get arrested in the common area behind my apartment. It is always noisy, whether it be neighbors partying or early morning lawn service. The traffic down Seagate is awful in the mornings and afternoons due to the schools being so close. I think my least favorite part was the management. They lied to myself and my roommate and they discriminate entriely to anyone younger. They will screw you over and try to make you pay them more money than is owed and their "renovated" apartments are a joke. Just because the appearance looks 100% better than an older apartment means nothing because their crew that renovates does not know how to put things back together. Our hot water heater was hooked up to our toilet and it took them a month to come fix it! Every time we run our dishwasher it floods the apartment below us! I have maintenance coming into my apartment in the morning while I am still sleeping because I do not get up to answer the door, with no notice I even needed them to be here! You get what you pay for here. The beach is close but that is nothing amazing when you are too afraid to leave your apartment alone. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt

It's really unfortunate that you feel this way - could it be Kristina, that you feel complelled to write this instead of coming to the Leasing Center because the things you have to say are not true?? How about the fact that you and your roomate Marisa broke the apartment policies by hiding a large dog in your home, that you knew you were not authorized to have or could it be that you will be charged for giving improper notice on your apartment because you failed to read your lease. Maybe it's because you never called to complain of any maintenence request yet, when maint came to your home for an annual inspection you would not let then in because you were still sleeping at 12:30 in the afternoon. Ocean Oaks is a huge community with many "younger" residents, so discimination has never been an issue and to take advantage would be out of the question being we deal with cosigners on the leases of most "younger" residents to ensure ignorance of the contract is not a question.

Why I would not post anything but the truth about your complex? And why would you take the time to defend yourselves against two twenty somethings, when it does nothing but belittle your management qualities? Worry about your complex, not the negative experiences past tenants have had.
