I'm not going to lie, this complex is about 75% black in a predominately black area and you take the good with the bad there (insert your own joke). My car got broken into once and the office was surprisingly uncaring, telling me they wouldn't even fill out a report unless I reported it to the police first. I generally like to go on walks around the park (located close by) at night and was stopped by police on 4 different occasions, once they accused me of selling drugs. I had a room overlooking the lake, which was nice and nothing ever broke down, so I cannot really comment on the maintenance. The biggest gripe I had was when I moved out. I thoroughly cleaned the apartment (actually had my mother there too) and took great care to insure there was no damage done. The office still took my deposit and insisted I owed them another $250 on top of that. Oh yeah, as with the other two posts, the dumpster was constantly overflowing. Overall, I liked my apartment and the price was reasonable enough (I suppose), but it is not the safest area.
