Where in the world should i start...everything started out ok, i currently have a 3brm in the VERY back of the complex. i soon realized that there is a passage way in the back where non-residents can just walk on in. they come back there and vandalize the pool area...my lease is up in one month and i have NEVER been to the pool! and i'm paying more for a 'pool view' which looks like crap! i had a room which left so no longer needed a 3brm and wanted to transfer my lease to a 2, at that point they told me it would be $100 to transfer - no big deal. i waited to see my renewal rate never saw it so about two months before my lease was supposed to end i went to the leasing office and asked about it, they said 'i should be recieving it shortly through the mail' - nothing! 35 days before my lease ends i get a letter which is rubberbanded to my front door saying that my rent would be going up by about $30 and that i need to turn this letter back in within 60 days of my lease ending if i intend to vacate...THEY NEVER GAVE ME 60 DAYS TO BEGIN WITH! so i go back and ask them about it - they told me that i have to fulfill the 60 notice and that i would have to pay rent at the renewal rate plus $200 for month to month to carry out the sixty days! now we talk about transferring again, they say i have to apply again to requalify and i can do it online - i get approved and select request to hold the apartment that i 'wanted' two days later they call and tell me it's no longer there - why would there be and option to hold if your not going to hold it'! so fine i'll look for something else now the lady tells me that i have to pay $500 to transfer when one month ago it was $100. this was a complete disaster living here i definately would NOT recomend ANYONE living here. it's like a little ghetto paradise (dont get me wrong because i am ------- American) but seriously i was not raised around the kind of people that you find at the Hamptons. the garbage area is disgusting. the cops are constantly patrolling the area - that's never a good sign. the people in the leasing office all have a different story and never know what is going on about ANYTHING they always have to call you back and cant give a straight answer - spare yourself the trouble and the money because it is definetly NOT worth it.

and not to mention my closet racks came down out the blue and this maintenence guy came and did the crappiest job and it broke again that very night!! ugh!

Oh my soul, I never thought, others had the hardest time living in this place. I am sorry people had to go through, but happy someone else is out there to let people know how awful it is to live in that place. You are so right! The people in the office give you a different story no one knows what the other is doing or saying. Something should have clicked in my head when I gave my deposit, my apartment was suppose to be ready in a few weeks, it turned into almost six months and after that it still wasn't ready. The maintanance was in the apartment everday, you couldn't sleep because they were in and out of my apartment, that should have been finished months ago. Everything they fixed, came undone. The apartment they showed me was not the one they gave me. It was always the presence of police riding through. I only lived there one year. One night we heard cars riding through and lights flashing, it was about 10 police, like they were on a high speed chase. One day we were sitting on the balcony and all these cops came out with guns cocked. I felt we were livinbg in a combat zone, and this could not be safe for public dwelling. If you do a virtual tour of this place, and you see how nice it looks on the personal computer, this is a WARNING! WARNING! DO NOT leave your home to even visit, it is not worth it. I called and complain about these people to the higher office in New York, well that got me $150.00, what is that when they charge you an arm and a leg for grief. I huuy up and got my family out of there. One night we were awaken by a loud bagning at our door, and thhe person on the other side said, "open this f#@*%@# door", i thought to myself someone is breaking in on us. well we called the police and the dispatch could hear him tearing the door almost down. Well, we were not already getting a good night sleep, and this took us over the top. After moving out, for our safety, I called and wrote the main office they said well we gave you a $150.00, I said that was for the apartment not being ready to move in. I wish someone had warned me of this place. My daughter stumble upon this and I am glad she did. I could go on and on but I want. Whomever started this, keep it going.

Oh my god the same thing happen to me. I received the letter on my door telling me that the rent was going to go up,then I get a letter that the water is going to be a flat rate okay who care if it's going to be a flat fee 30.00 dollars was not the amount I was paying before it was less but okay they make it seem like its better, Now in the letter it states that I have to give 60 days notice but I didn't even get a 30 day notice of the change. I go to the leasing office speak with the leasing agent he tells me that Wait I can get something that has a different floor plan but it;s cheaper okay fine. he tells me the transfer fee is 500.00 I said okay that's a little high but there will be a 200.00 dollar saving so let's do it. Then I contact the agent and he tells me he wont be in the office today he will be in on the following Monday I call the office on Saturday the transfer fee is now 1000 dollars. Now I'm upset!!!! I go to the leasing office every day that I hold off it's outside the 60 days!!!! the leasing agent is trying to get me to hold off on the notice to vacate I said hell no I want it in now because I will need to pay the monthly rate that is 200 more than what I'm paying and you said I only gave 38 days notice causing me to pay 857.00 for 9 days man I was upset. I will never ever deal with them and there moldy apartment YES they have mold which that's the reason I was given as to why they gave away the apartment that i wanted. these people suck. They all have a different story they act like their your friend but they are not!!!
