I don't know if any of the other reviewers on this site have experienced a roach problem. I know more expensive complexes in broward county have been accused of having disgusting roach problems and even rodents in the apartment. I came here bcuz I wanted a place with a washer/dryer in the apartment that wasn't $850 a month or more, and my first choice for an apartment didn't have vacancies unfortunately....well there is a disgusting roach problem in the hot water heater/ac room of my apartment. I've been living here for 4 weeks and I am killing a cockroach a week in my apartment...I doubt anyone living in South Florida will be able to avoid roaches but this is the worst I've experienced as far as an apartment goes. I once rented a house with my family that was infested years ago but aparment complexes are supposed to have routine pest control....so I have complained to the leasing office and I'll see what happens. In the meantime, if you can't afford a 1200 dollar a month 1 bedroom apartment or if your complex is going condo and you have no where else to go which was the case with me, than by all means move here and pray that your particular unit does not have a roach infestation....I guess I should be thankful that they're not in the kitchen....and as far as it being ghetto....I've lived in quite a few apartment complexes between norh lauderdale, sunrise, a townhouse in Welleby/Sunrise and no matter if the residents were prodominantly white, black, hispanic or whatever....there were always nasty people throwing dirty diapers and trash on the ground, overflowing garbage, loud music, slow leasing office staff, etc. So basically in my opinion all of South Florida is becoming an overpriced slum!!!!!!!!!!
