Beware

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
The management of Parrot's Landing has printed a broadside saying that when current tenants yearly lease is up they will be requested to move elsewhere as currently occupied apartments will be remodeled. The community sustained damage from Hurricane Wilma in 2005 and began, this year, to repair roofs, stairwells and remove damaged siding. This has made for a noisy several months with a year and a half left to go before completion. Anyone seeking to rent should be aware that if they lease an apartment no yet renovated they will be out on their ear in 12 months and, should they wish to rent another apartment at Parrot's Landing, they will have to reapply and pay fees as well as moving costs all over again. This hassle plus the noise and dirt of construction and intrusions to 'check' apartments and such make it a poor bargain.
