Great View/Cheap Furnishings/Terrible Service

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2005
I lived at the Intracoastal for 2 years.
First off, the reviews that say the apartment community is a first class five rating and the best place ever are obviously posted by the apartment management!
The benefits:
1. Great balconies and views of the Ocean and Intracoastal --- loved to walk to the beach.
2. Reasonable prices
The downsides:
1. Cheap furnishings --- all furnishings are cheap and of poor quality -- the aluminum closet doors, blinds, shower doors and cabinets. And the kitchen in the 2 bedroom units is laid out poorly with little storage.
2. Rotating/Questionable residents---in two years, I had 5 different residents in the apartment next door and one of the residents lived in there for a full year!
3. Terrible service overall. The staff is unconcerned at best. Generally, personal phone calls are more important than the residents. Don't be surprised if the receptionist doesn't put the personal call down to help you! Also, when I moved out and tried to schedule an apartment inspection, they said that it would be 4 weeks out!
Overall, it is a tough call on not suggesting the apartments. If you want a reasonably priced place near the beach with views this is one of the only option!
