I have lived in this complex for the past 2 years and in the "eastern" portion of north miami for 3 years. Previously, I have lived in the "western" part of north miami for about 22 years. Well...we won't get into that. About Greenwich, it is a nice pleasant community. They have made improvements in security, repainted the buildings, the buildings/property are all well maintained. However, a few negative things about this property/area is that #1, from March 2000-March 2002, my 1-bedroom rent started at $619 (2000) to $639 (2001) now they are raising their 1-bedroom rates to $754 (2002)!!!! This is a significant increase but I dont think this increase is justified considering the neighborhood it is in.

This is when I will get into another facet of living in this area. Since the revitalization of the Design District, Upper East Side and Biscayne Blvd., the truth of the matter is that I personally have noticed a few of the prostitutes from 79 ST. relocate and/or move their services to NE 16 Ave and NE 110 ST area. I have seen them walk on NE 16 Ave itself and if you know where Greenwich is situated, you know that this is the main street out of this complex.

Anyways, I guess my point is that the "bad people" or "negative energies" are being pushed up into this area due to the revitalization of certain areas in Miami which is then "decreasing" the value of this area. Hence, the rent should not increase so drastically at this moment in time. You definitely can find a much better and newer apartment community some place else in a MUCH nicer area. Investigate Hammocks Place......not only are they new but renting with them...you get some perks such as military discounts, preferred employer discounts, rent-to-own, 30-day satisfactory guaranteed out clause in your lease, etc. and no.....i don't work for them.

However, Greenwich is nice and pleasant. Keep in mind that sometimes some buildings can be bit loud because a few of their buildings within this complex are housing Johnson & Wales students, as well as, Barry University and FIU students. Just an FYI.
