I'm a resident of the Oakland Forest area and Im writing this to let others know of the problems with the Forest Park Apts.

The complex itself looks pretty good, there have been problems within the last year that the city of oakland park has been notified of as well as the Master Assoctiation of Oakland Forest.

Forest park has been renting to some pretty scummy looking hood rats who are giving the area a bad name. Recently there appear to have been some evictions.

Last I heard there is talk about the complex being converted into condo's or that LakeView Club is buying the property and will be inforcing their very strict leasing rules on the complex.

We are hopeful that this will occur and that Forest Park will be brought back to its original good standing soon.

It also appears that they have raised their rents so perhaps management change is taking place.

As for Oakland Forest it is a great diverse community which has seen property values increase two fold in the last two years. It is a safe and very nice area to live in and the Master Association is working on several projects to further enhance the community.

If you are having problems at Forest Park contact the code violations dept with the city of oakland Park or the BSO.
