Refined Ghetto...

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
For the past 10 months I think I've died and gone to hell! For what I thought would be the best choice I'd make, turned out to be the worst experience of my life.
This community is the PERFECT example of FALSE advertising, misrepresentation and the WORST in management that I've ever come across.
I've had to deal with:
#1 Upstairs neighbor dumping buckets of
water on their balcony, thus causing
everything on mine to get drenched.
#2 Downstairs neighbor grilling causing my
apartment to fill with smoke and my fire
alarms to go off.
#3 Kids playing drums outside on Saturday
mornings and Sunday afternoon.
#4 Kids, Kids, and uhmmm, did I mention Kids'
A. Running between cars.
B. Throwing objects at each other and
hitting parked cars.
C. Urinating in hallways.
D. Writing with colored chalk in
hallways, causing you to drag the
colored dust into your apartment.
E. Unsupervised children in pool area,
relieving themselves in the water i.e.
urine and feces.
F. Unsupervised children throwing garbage
and pool furniture into the pool.
G. Driving scooters and mopeds in-between
parked cars.
H. Hanging out at all hours of day and
night, drinking, smoking marijuana,
sitting on other peoples cars, playing
dice, cards and selling drugs.
I. Kids and Adults hanging in your
hallways and stairs, to the point you
have to squeeze between them to get up
the steps to your apartment.
J. Kids fishing in lake and leaving their
garbage behind on grass and in the
lake.
Cars playing loud music pretty much daily, at all hours of the night.
Dog excrement in pretty much every patch of grass area.
Yes, people make the community you live in but when you are depending on the management to correct complaints and issues, and they do nothing of it then there is a serious problem.
My neighbors alike, as myself have spoken to Daisy Garcia and Shantel in the rental office and never did correct any of these problems. Yes, they would send out notices that they would leave on your door for when you got home, but honestly...half the time the same kids running amuck, where the same ones pulling the notices off the doors and half the time the tenants weren't notified.
The issues or complaints posted here today aren't solely mine, they are also complaints that other tenants have as well.
Most of you who read this will ask "Why didn't you move." Well, if that were an option without ruining my credit, having to pay some ludicrous fee or loosing any deposits, I'm sure some of us would have by now.
My most recent neighbor, was a multi-time con-artist and fellon, that would go around the rental property, charging to fix vehicles, when in-deed what he was doing was damaging the vehicles even more.
What I'm getting at with this, is simple. If management would have ran a credit report and done a criminal background check and verified employment, the way they say they do, people like this wouldn't live here.
Daisy Garcia and Shantel, I pitty you for thinking you know what you are doing. When in fact you are the talk of most of your tenants.
How can you send out notices to your tenants and tell them they aren't allowed to put up there Hurricane shutters, when there is a Category 3 Hurricane a few hours away, begin putting them up with your management and then stop and not advise your tenants of such actions'
My lease is up in December and I will be moving with a smile on my face. Not to mention I will make it known to everyone I come across that Forest Park Apartments is not the way to go.
Sincerely yours...Relieved
