Ok. I have lived here for 4 months so far. I have to say that out of any complex I've lived in, these have been some of the best.
They may not look like Tivoli over off of Gate Parkway, or 11 East downtown, but the townhomes are built very well, and we seldom hear our neighbors.
As a matter of fact, one of our neighbors was having choir practice and we didn't know it until we went to leave.
Since I've lived at this complex, I've had the nicest experience with the management team and maintenance. Honestly, they know what they are doing, do not mind listening if there is a problem, and are absolutely the kind of people you would just stop in to say hey, and ask how they were doing.
They take their time in doing things, but this is to ensure they are done correctly. Even Maintenance, when I had a few problems, I told the Asst manager and one of the rental consultants (no names mentioned for privacy) that they (maintenance) didn't have to be here at any specific time, that there was no specific rush, and the problem could wait until next week if it had to. 3 hours later, maintenance was here.
I will start this review from the way the questions are asked: ALSO LET IT BE KNOWN, I LIVE IN THE SECOND COMPLEX @ 2040 WELLS ROAD. NOT 2020 WELLS ROAD.
Parking: We have only had one problem with parking. Which involved 2 sets of neighbors who liked to park both of their vehicles on the same side of the lot. After some intervention with management, this problem has been solved without anyone getting evicted.
As far as lighting an security is concerned. The parking lots are lit very well, and you could see someone, maybe not the clearest, walking across the parking lot. As far as security is concerned, to a burglar, a parking lot is a honey pot of goods. So yes, as you can imagine, with this parking lot, and probably almost any other apt. complex parking lot, there have been some break ins to vehicles.
Within the complex however, 2040 wells road, there are 4 deputies that work for our local county police department, who usually keep an eye on things.
2. Noise level: Like I said, my neighbors were having choir practice and I didn't know till I left to do some errands.
You cannot hear your neighbors shower, use the bathroom, walk around their house, play their stereos/televisions, etc... You can hear people from the outside, but that is because a window doesn't block sound as well as walls do.
I have only had one quam with a neighbor, and to tell the truth, her quam was with me moving some stuff around my bedroom later at night. We know our immediate neighbors, and we are all comfortable with coming to each other with a problem, instead of calling the office. Many neighbors in apt complexes thing the other neighbor might answer the door with a gun, this has never happened here. Actually....when I moved in, I made it a point to meet my immediate neighbors, give them my contact information, and encourage them, if they had a problem come see me. I'm a really really nice guy, not mouthy or violent. I'll talk to almost anyone in public, so don't hesitate to call anytime. Actually, my neighbors feel comfortable enough with me to let me watch their apartment while they went to Indiana.
3. Grounds: The lawn maintenance crew is out there I'd say at least twice a month. They are nice people, I've talked to some of them. The grounds look nice, especially when you pull into this complex, with about 7 big trees lined up on the left hand side. It gives it a very classy look. Some of the apartment yards are not decorated, but that is up to the resident.
4. Safety: I feel safe walking around the complex day and night. I have not had any reason whatsoever to think otherwise; and if you knew me, you would know how serious I am.
5. Construction: I think I have had 1 problem with my a/c, can't even remember what it was, but since maintenance looked at it, I've not had anything wrong. I have not tried to put holes in walls to test the construction, but I"m sure that the walls are made using your average dry wall material, just like in a single family home. Fixtures: Funny story, the one that was in my kitchen, ceiling light cover, fell one night. Scared us to pieces. But that was a loose screw which caused that.
6. Maintenance: some of the best maintenance in apt. complex I've ever had.
7. office staf: I could not ask for better office staff, if they could work with me, I'd want them there. They are all wonderful people who really care about the residents, don't try to scam anyone, do not talk about issues with residents vs residents behind anyone's back. I sent them a Christmas card. :-) Great people.
8. I have not had any serious problems with this community, and the 2-3 that I have had are now resolved. Couldn't ask for much more!
