Better than Everyone Says

There are pros and cons to this place (just like every apartment complex in the world).
My wife and I personally have never had a problem with the office staff. They have always been helpful both on the phone and in person. I have never had a problem with maintenance - they have always come very quickly and fixed the few things we have needed done.
Parking has never been a problem where we are within the complex - maybe it is different for others.
As far as someone mentioning the lights in the place - we moved in and there was a light in the kitchen (as the other poster stated), a couple of track lights in the "dining" area, a ceiling light in the second bedroom, and our master bedroom had a ceiling fan with lights in it. You can add a ceiling fan in the living room - which is a good idea for air circulation and lighting (in my opinion).
When we moved in, the place was very clean (which some others have evidently not experienced). The counters and mirrors were spotless, and the carpet was freshly cleaned as you could see a "trangle" pattern from the vacuum.
As far as the massages, if you call at least 3 weeks in advance, you should be able to get in no problem. Example: I got appointments for my wife and myself for the second weekend in April during the last week of March, when there were still plenty of openings. Then I had to reschedule a few days before they were scheduled, and there were still openings.
There is definitely a problem when other people let their doors slam shut because it can be quite loud and disturbing. I'm not sure why people have to do it in the first place, but I'm sure the doors were designed so that if people were carrying stuff out or in that the door would shut automatically - possibly with the thought in mind of keeping bugs out (this is Florida after all).
I have seen a lot of animal droppings around as of late, even though you are supposed to pick up after your dogs.
The Cable Company - Broadstar - is indeed unbelievably HORRIBLE. I have had MANY problems with them.
Someone said something about not all apartments being able to get satellite. For the record, unless a complex builds every single unit so that there is a clear view of the southern sky, you're not going to find a place where every unit can get satellite - it's just the way it is.
60-day notices seem to be more and more common - at least from other people I have talked to that live in other complexes (both in the JAX area, and other areas of the state). I know that I was looking at some apartments in Tampa recently due to the possibility of an upcoming move, and they all had 60-day notice requirements. Personally, I think it is a bit excessive and don't see how a 30-day wouldn't be sufficient; however, I guess places do it just to know what is going to be available.
Some of the materials they use are not particularly high quality; however, it's an apartment. If you want high quality stuff, and perfect quite, build a house.
Overall, for what we are personally paying and what we are getting, I would move in all over again. However, rates have evidently gone up, as we received our renewal notice a while back, and if we were staying, the cost would be higher. I don't know if I would move in again at the higher rates, because I don't know what else is out there and how those rates compare. However, we knew long ago that we were leaving because we are moving.
We have had a good experience, though obviously, it seems some others have not. Therefore, take all of it for what it's worth.
