I've just spent an hour reading all the reviews on the complex, and one reviewer summed it up best: Are these people talking about the same complex in which I live' I have rarely had any problems. I've lived here two years, and have just moved into a 2/2 from a 2/1. The location is great (close to I-4, Publix, Blockbuster, etc., 10 minutes to downtown). I agree that the staff is more concerned with prospective tenants than current ones, but, as they say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease: If you have an issue, and aggressively pursue it, they will resolve it. Maintenance is fine; any serious issue gets resolved in the same day. Apartments are fine; floorplans are unique, cabinetry/appliances acceptable. They've ditched the old cable company and are now on Brighthouse. And, I must be lucky, because I've never seen the black mold to which everyone else refers. Buy a $8 spray bottle of Home Defense, spray it around, and you won't have an issue with roaches. It seems pretty safe (but where is really safe these days'), though I'm not roaming the complex at 3 in the morning. Many of the problems are easily, and cheaply, self-solved. Instead of complaining and blaming, fix it yourself and be happy. It's still cheaper and more convenient than maintaining/owning a house with property taxes. The one TOTALLY valid complaint that I agree with is the following: THE TRASH. If anyone in Arbors' management reads this, for the love of God, enforce the trash restrictions. I've complained 5-6 times about one particular neighbor who will leave EXPOSED garbage in the hall from Friday afternoon to Sunday night (trash picks up from sun night-thurs night), yet management does nothing. No wonder some apartments have roaches. Anyways, now I'm just rambling.... Overall: I love it. Take pride in where you live; don't expect management to do EVERYTHING, and you'll have a great experience.

Regarding your comments about fixing problems yourself, if I wanted to do "home repairs" I'd own a home. I choose to rent because I do not want to be responsible for repairs, and obviously here at the Arbors the office and maintenance staff does not want that responsibility either. The only way to insure that a repair is done properly is, as another reviewer stated, to call ZOM property management and complain.
